Kisses are not that big a deal in movies. They have been around ever since the movies began. Now, we have a lot more than kisses. This particular list talks about the weirdest kisses in film history. I began imagining a weird kissing scenario for myself after I was done compiling this list. You can let us know about your experiences as well, no compulsion though. I actually never thought I will be making a list dedicated to the weirdest kisses but if they are in movies, they are on this site or at least that’s what I hope to achieve. Enjoy the read.
10. MOST CONFUSING KISS
Felicity Huffman is woman in real life and she plays Bree. Bree is a man and he is about to have this surgery performed on him in order to turn him into a woman, you know, a sex change operation. His son Toby (played by Kevin Zegers) has not clue that Bree is his father and he ends of falling in love with him (of course he thinks Bree is a woman). They kiss passionately but then Bree pushes Toby away and is forced to tell him that she, in fact, is his father. Wow, this is a sentence I never thought I would write.
9. UPSIDE DOWN KISS
Who wouldn’t know this kiss? The kiss was actually well received and was probably the first of its kind in movie. At least it was the first of its kind that I saw. Mary-Jane Watson, played by Kirsten Dunst, is attacked by a gang in an alley. Spider Man (Peter Parker) played by Tobey Maguire, saves her and then they kiss. The spider-man is hanging upside down on his web. Miss Watson removes his mask just enough to kiss him, and then they do. (Spiderman).
8. LEARN TO KISS KISS
If you have to put a spin on it, you can think of this movie as the teenage version of Dangerous Liaisons that came out in 1988. In the movie, Kathryn Merteuil that was played by Sarah Michelle Geller teaches Cecile Caldwell that was played by Selma Blair how to kiss. Cecile’s reaction to their lesbian kiss was ‘That was cool!’. Sarah showed her manipulative intentions with this kiss she gave to Selma in the movie. God, it seems as if I watched this movie like forever ago. (Cruel Intentions).
7. MOST REPULSIVE KISS
The readers of the American Magazine in the year 2003 voted this particular love scene as the worst ever. The scene is between a prostitute called Ginger McKenna played by Sharon Stone and a violent hit-man called Nicky Santoro who is played by Joe Pesci. The second worst scene in the same magazine was between Sean Connery and 40 years younger to him, Catherine Zeta-Jones in the movie called Entrapment that came out in 1999. (Casino).
6. HUMAN AND GHOST
Human kissing a ghost; in other words, human kissing something that is transparent and intangible. Brilliant, I must say. Sam Wheat is played by Patrick Swayze and he is the ghost. Molly Jensen is the girl who kisses the ghost and that is played by Demi Moore. The ghost bids Molly a goodbye before he was to pass on into The Light and therefore the kiss. If ever it were to happen in reality, how would that go really? (Ghost).
5. HUMAN AND COMPUTER
You must be familiar with the computer program called Yori; she is played by Cindy Morgan. The human user called Kevin Flynn is played by Jeff Bridges. He jumps into the energy beam of the Master Control Program in order to save the warrior of the video game called Tron. He is played by Bruce Boxleitner. Yori’s reaction is ‘Don’t, you’ll be de-rezzed!’. This reaction is followed by a passionate kiss and a long one at that. It looks pretty human. (Tron).
4. HUMAN AND ALIEN
E.T is watching TV and it is tuned to the love scene between John Wayne and Maureen O’Hara in ‘The Quiet Man’. The movie came out in 1952. The movements of the two characters matched those of Elliot and the blonde girl in the biology class at school. Anyway, have you guys seen this movie? Was it fun? I thought the movie was really lame. (E.T)
3. THE KISS OF DEATH
New Year’s Eve is being celebrated in Cuba. There were loads of people and cheering and embracing and confetti. Al Pacino plays the character Michael Corleone. He goes over to his treacherous brother Fredo, played by John Cavale, and whispers in his ears. ‘there’s a plane waiting for us to take us to Miami in an hour, alright? Don’t make a big thing about it.’ This is where he puts his hands on his cheeks and kisses him. ‘I know it was you, Fredo. You broke my heart. You broke my heart’. (Godfather II)
2. MAN AND CORPSE
Room 237 in the Overlook Hotel is being investigated. Jack is the caretaker who pushes the half-close bathroom door opened. He saw a mysterious young woman who was completely nude. She was bathing. She stepped out of the tub and approached Jack. She came to halt in the middle of the room and he moved towards her. They kiss was okay but as soon as he looked in the mirror right behind her, he saw something in the mirror; the reflection…. (The Shining)
1. MAN AND APE
This scene is one of its kind and shows, for the first time, the bond of love that animals and humans share. Of course the ape isn’t real; it actually is a human wearing a costume. On top of that, the Ape is a scientist and her name is Zira. The female ape is played by Kim Hunter. The man is an astronaut and he is displaced. His name is George Taylor and it is played by Charlton Heston. ‘Doctor, I’d like to kiss you goodbye’. ‘Alright.. But you’re so damned ugly!’. (Planet of the Apes)
